There are certain times of the year when travel is cheapest. These are when the fewest number of people are traveling. September, October, and the first weeks of November. The kids are in school and the snow birds haven't started seeking warmer pastures yet. The week following Thanksgiving and the week following New Years are the cheapest. You get great deals just before Christmas also. New Years and Christmas are the most expensive.
